One month. We have already been in school for a full month. In that month we welcomed 1060 students "back" to school. We hosted Sneak a Peek, hosted multiple Open Houses, raised over $30,000 with Boosterthon, completed countless trainings, had an Early Release, conducted a couple drills (2 fire drills and a Code Red), and the list goes on. In addition, you guys have established routines and procedures within your classrooms while also establishing relationships with students, parents, and teammates. Oh, and let's not forget, facilitating the learning of our 1060 students! It is without a doubt, education is not for the weak. You guys are rock stars and we hope you know how much we appreciate all that you do each day. Thank You. Thank You. Thank You.

CTLS Teach & CTLS Assess
CTLS Teach and CTLS Assess are invaluable resources available to teachers. More information will be shared during brief meetings admin is doing with each grade level, but the short version is...use them. The resources have been vetted. Although resources like Teachers Pay Teachers and Pinterest have cute fonts and relatively fun activities, they have not been vetted by our district and, often times, the rigor is not present in those resources. Again, more information will be shared at the brief grade level meetings in the next couple weeks.

friendly reminders
1. Please be sure that you make arrangements for your children in the afternoons, specifically when we have team meetings, committee meetings, and staff meetings. Often times these meetings include information about happenings at our school and/or discussions about things that are not always appropriate for children.
2. Doorway Greetings are part of who we are, supporting our mission, "To develop the minds, hearts, and spirits of Champions". Please be sure that this is part of your everyday practice, not assigning it to a student. If you are struggling with how to implement this, please see your CHAT representative or Nicole Meador.
3. If you are going to be out unexpectedly, be sure you are calling/texting your evaluator ASAP. Please be sure that you are putting the sub request in ASEOP as soon as you know you need a sub. We do not have extra personnel to cover classes and have already had to pull our EIP and ESOL teachers to cover classes without subs.
4. Please be sure that you have an emergency sub folder for unexpected absences. Be sure it includes all information regarding drills (for example, Code Red).
