May
It feels like it was just September when I said that the month of August was the longest year, ever. Seriously. I wasn't sure if August would ever end. Now it's almost May. May, y'all. I cannot believe it.
What an awesome year it has been so far. Even though we technically still have a few weeks remaining, you know as well as I do that new school supplies are going to start hitting Target's shelves soon and we will all be frequent visitors to the North Georgia Facebook page praying for snow. That said, slow down. Enjoy the excitement of the end of the year; continue to celebrate our student's successes; and quit counting the Mondays. In the long run, you'll be glad you did.
As I wrap up my eighth and final year at Cheatham Hill (and my last Flipped Agenda), please know that each of you have left a lasting impression on me, both personally and professionally. You guys are my family. We have laughed together, cried together, problems solved together, and even rolled our eyes together. As I told a parent yesterday, I am 100% committed to this community until Kevin takes the reins. Even then, I will continue to be committed...you are family to me.
Thank you for your grace, support, and trust over the last eight years. It's been a fun ride! ~K

if it does not bring joy, throw it out
We have ordered a dumpster to assist you in cleaning out your classrooms and storage closets (during post-planning).
Please take advantage of it. Do not put district inventoried items in the dumpster…this includes old textbooks and consumables. Those can be placed in the Gaylord boxes. The dumpster will be delivered the afternoon of May 22nd and will be picked up on May 24th. Please do NOT bring household items from home. This is strictly for school personnel to clean out rooms and closets. |
If you have not watched Marie Kondo's show on Netflix, check it out before May 22nd.
