April
March is always crazy. Always. March of 2019 is certainly no exception. Thank you, ALL, for everything you do. As I shared with most of you during March Super Specials...this job is so rewarding, but equally as exhausting. As we approach Spring Break, please take the week for you. Spend it with friends and family, enjoying the things you love. You will be glad you did because...if I remember correctly, April and May are also crazy!
There is a lot of info in this month's Flipped Agenda. Please take the time to read through it. You may also want to consider doing a "favorite" with the blog so you can refer back to it for questions.

Lastly, thank you all for your encouraging and supportive words with the news of my transition in June. Some of you have asked what my new role entails...I will be working with the Assistant Superintendents identifying and mentoring new and future administrators for the district. In addition to the leadership management piece, I will also oversee evaluations for the district. As I shared, it is bittersweet. I am very excited about my new position, but will miss you guys something fierce. Thanks again for all you do. I wish you all a fun, relaxing, and memorable Spring Break! |

self-care is a priority & a necessity not a luxury:
you cannot juggle it all without taking care of you first
“Imagine life as a game in which you are juggling five balls in the air. You name them work, family, health, friends and spirit. And you’re keeping all of these in the air. You will soon understand that work is a rubber ball. If you drop it, it will bounce back. But the other four balls – family, friends, health and spirit – are made of glass. If you drop one of these, they will be irrevocably scuffed, marked, nicked, damaged, or even shattered. They will never be the same. You must understand that and strive for balance in your life.”
